Candice Wilkins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience providing trauma-informed bereavement care to individuals, families, and groups. Specializing in grief and loss due to death, suicide, chronic illness, and caregiver fatigue, she utilizes Narrative Therapy, EMDR, CBT, Solution-Focused and Person Centered Therapies, and Motivational Interviewing to support clients navigating complex grief and trauma. Candice began her career in perinatal palliative care at Hinds Hospice in 2014 and has since developed a strong passion for working with marginalized individuals grieving a loved one’s suicide. She played a pivotal role in establishing the Local Outreach to Survivors (LOSS) team in Fresno County and has provided crisis support to thousands of newly bereaved individuals. In addition to facilitating grief support groups, Candice is a certified QPR trainer, committed to suicide prevention and community education. She spent the last three years also leading a team of hospice social workers, ensuring holistic end-of-life care for patients and their families. As a field instructor for MSW students and a clinical supervisor for LCSW candidates, she is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of social workers. Candice also offers Critical Incident Stress Debriefing services to businesses affected by workplace trauma, further extending her commitment to community healing and mental wellness. Candice has been married to Dave for 28 years, has three grown children and in her free time enjoys reading, travel and spending time with her 6 year old Havanese-Chihuahua, Mr. Chill.
