Stacey Freedenthal, PhD, LCSW, is a therapist, educator, and writer focused on helping people with suicidal thoughts or behavior. Dr. Freedenthal authored the books Helping the Suicidal Person: Tips and Techniques for Professionals, and Loving Someone with Suicidal Thoughts: What Family, Friends, & Partners Can Say & Do. She created the website Speaking of Suicide. She's also an associate professor at the University of Denver, a therapist in private practice, and a suicide survivor.
