Lena Heilmann (she/hers), PhD, MNM, is the Director of the Colorado Office of Suicide Prevention (OSP), which leads suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention efforts. She is committed to equity, centering lived experience, and addressing disparities.
In 2012, Dr. Heilmann lost her only sister Danielle to suicide. The AAS recognized Dr. Heilmann with the 2021 AAS Suicide Loss Survivor of the Year Award for her work supporting sibling suicide loss survivors.
