I am Abby E. Beatty, currently working as a Data Scientist at Stop Soldier Suicide where I focus on quantitative and qualitative analytics to support veteran mental health care and suicide prevention. In this role, I analyze complex datasets to develop strategies aimed at reducing suicide rates among veterans.

My recent research contributions include a publication in Frontiers in Public Mental Health titled "Suicide Risk Communication and Intervention Preferences for Veterans and Service Members." This work addresses the critical needs and preferences for effective suicide risk communication and intervention, aiming to improve mental health outcomes for veterans and service members.

My background spans across biology education and functional genetics, which enhances my approach to applying scientific research to critical societal issues like mental health and suicide prevention. This integration of disciplines informs my commitment to leveraging scientific inquiry for impactful, real-world applications in mental health care.
