Dr. Kirsten Walsh, a Navy Corpsman veteran, supports Wounded Warrior Project’s advocacy efforts on women veterans, transition, and minority veteran populations (rural, cultural, and ethnic), serving on the government affairs team. Kirsten contributes to the Women Warriors Report, a biennial report looking at the experiences and challenges of post 9/11 women veterans. Prior to joining WWP, Kirsten served as a Congressional fellow for a military focused caucus. She holds a PhD in Social Work Research from the University of Alabama and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She is a native of the Great State of California.
