Tita Atte, MPH, CPH, is the Director of Screening and Program Evaluation and the Director of Continuous Quality Improvement Data Analytics at the David Farber Center for the Advancement of Suicide Prevention Intervention, Research, and Education (ASPIRE) at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Jefferson in 2023, he spent the previous nine years at the Center of Family Intervention Science at Drexel University. Prior to that, he was on staff at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he began his work on screening and suicide among youth and young adults. Over his career, he has led and implemented grants from the National Institutes of Health, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Recent projects include evaluating the efforts to improve continuity of care for individuals of all ages affected by suicide, providing training and screening within behavioral health systems to improve care transitions for high-risk youth, examining suicide prevention readiness in adult-serving mental health systems, and improving collaboration between crisis services and law enforcement when responding to mental health crises.
