Avery Abel is a Clinical Research Assistant in the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research (CSPR) at Nationwide Children's Hospital under Dr. Jeffrey A. Bridge. Avery's research interests lie in the etiology of self-injurious thoughts and behaviors in youth and how factors like sleep, social isolation, minority stress, and social media experiences can impact the development, persistence, and severity of SITBs in early adolescence.
