Richard Shadick is the Director of the Counseling Center and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychology at Pace University. He is a psychologist and psychoanalyst who presents at conferences on issues related to college student mental health, suicide and help-seeking. He is involved in editorial work for journals and has published on topics of the mental health of diverse college students including factors associated with suicidal behavior. He has been awarded federal and state grants on suicide prevention in diverse college student populations and the prevention of underage drinking. He has a private practice in Manhattan.
