Lyenochka (Lyen) Djakov received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History of Art from The University of Pennsylvania, and her Master of Education degree in Counseling with an Addiction Emphasis from The College of William & Mary. Throughout her career in healthcare services, she has served as a reproductive health counselor, community educator, domestic violence intervention therapist, victim advocate, grants manager and program leader. She maintains a credential with the National Organization for Victim Assistance as a comprehensive victim intervention specialist with advanced standing. In her current role with Provider and Associate Well-Being at OhioHealth, Djakov oversees the system peer support program, assists in leading work in critical incident response and the system suicide prevention gatekeeper training project, Recognize, Engage, Ask, Communicate, Help (REACH), and other strategic well-being initiatives. In these capacities, she is trained in critical incident response through The International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and as a REACH suicide prevention gatekeeper. In addition to her work with OhioHealth, Djakov is also an active contributor to community-based anti-racism efforts and is pursuing a certification in trauma-informed training through the Tri-State Trauma Network.
