Aisha T. McDonald is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Trauma and Resiliency Expert who has worked in the social services field for over 15 years. She earned her Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Aisha is a leader in suicidology, program management, and training development. With expertise in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and mental health advocacy, she has designed and implemented large-scale suicide prevention initiatives. Aisha has worked with marginalized populations within South Florida specifically those with severe and persistent mental illness, forensic population, individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, youth in the welfare system, and individuals who are involuntarily hospitalized. As Director of Training Initiatives at United Way of Broward County, she leads workforce development programs and strategic partnerships to enhance crisis response efforts. A sought-after speaker and facilitator, Aisha collaborates with national organizations to advance best practices in suicide prevention and mental health equity.
