These are times of upheaval, whether looking at political polarization, climate change, immigration, civil rights, public health, or other areas. In this talk, Dr. Freedenthal will examine different approaches to coping with uncertainty, suffering, and despair amid social change. She’ll draw from her personal experiences of suicidality and recovery, in addition to research findings in suicidology on hope, meaning, and other reasons for living.
